COVID-19 Update: MCPS Shuts Down Headquarters & Devises New Plan for Services

Muslim Community Patrol & Services is taking every necessary precaution to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Our headquarters is closed effective March 16th 2020 until it is deemed safe for us to re-open but our team is still working every day to keep the community safe and well-informed about safety issues. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates and safety tips.

In response to the new guidelines about social distancing and hygiene practices, we have devised a new plan for our services:

Patrolling Services from March 16 - April 20 2020

MCPS patrolmen are patrolling daily in Astoria, Park Slope, Kensington, Sunset Park and downtown Brooklyn from 8 am - 4.30 pm. However, they are under strict instructions to not leave the patrol car unless absolutely necessary and they must wear gloves at all times.

Social Services from March 16 - April 20 2020

We are offering social services consultation via telecommunication and will continue our ‘Feed the Hungry’ program every Friday. However, the meals will distributed in Brooklyn near our headquarters, instead of Manhattan. We will post the new location and time soon. Please call 888-446-6277 or e-mail info@muslimcps.org if you have any concerns, questions, or would like to volunteer or collaborate with us in our efforts.

MCPS is committed to helping our community get through this difficult time safely and encourage everyone to follow U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s health and safety guidelines, and to stay updated on the latest information through reliable sources like the New York State website and New York City website. We also will continue to work to provide safe and reliable service to our community. We will continue to evaluate any further process changes as necessary.
